The 108 inch Type V airdrop platform is a modular component constructed, aluminum extrusion structure used for airdropping loads ranging from 2,500 lb. to 42,000 lb. from aircraft having the 463L-standard dual rail restraint systems. (60,000 lb. have been dropped using large aircraft.) A vented version is used to drop loads onto the water.
